To be the preeminent centre for research and development of innovative machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies and their applications.
Our Mission
- To deliver a major positive impact to priority industries in Alberta (healthcare, energy and environment, biotech and financial services), and beyond, by enhancing the capabilities of our industry partners, for example Alberta Health Services.
- To add value to machine learning information and analytic software programs, by enabling the discovery of new knowledge, the development of new procedures, and improvements to the quality, safety, efficiency, and privacy of these information and analytic systems.
- To maintain and enhance the Centre's role as a leading international site for leading-edge machine learning research that delivers world class innovation, technology, training of highly qualified personnel, and collaborative networks crossing disciplinary and sector boundaries.
